Numbers Without The Noise is run by Lorenzo Marrese, based in Westchester County, NY. Clients range from one-person shops to a company with over a hundred employees, local and not — because the niche isn't an industry or a headcount. It's a mindset: owners who want a real business, not just a job they own.
The promise is in the name. Financial information arrives as noise: transactions, exports, jargon, reports built for the IRS instead of for you. NWN's whole job is filtering that down to signal — the handful of numbers that actually change what you should do next, explained in plain English.
You'll never get a report you can't understand in five minutes. If a number matters, it comes with the reason it matters and what to do about it. If it doesn't matter, it stays out of your way.
The mission is personal. Lorenzo grew up around the trades — his father was excellent at the work, and the work made money, but organized finances were never part of the picture. Staying buried in the job made scaling impossible, because the numbers were never set up to answer the questions that growth demands.
That conviction comes from both sides of the ledger. Lorenzo spent five years running his own hands-on business — mobile paint-correction for car dealerships across Westchester — finding the customers and doing the work himself. On the numbers side, he holds an associate's degree in accounting from SUNY Westchester Community College, started out in accounts receivable and payable, and tutored accounting and federal income tax there. Three years of full-time service at a large nonprofit — spanning operations, security, and team coordination — included assisting with tax preparation in its legal department. He founded NWN in 2025.
NWN exists so growth-minded owners never hit that wall: a financial system built around your decisions, numbers that tell you what they mean, and a business that becomes an asset that pays you — instead of a job that owns you.
"Numbers have meaning. Knowing them is how you move forward."
